TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (March 7, 2009) - Luke Smierciak and Thomas Troelstrup combined for seven hits, including five doubles, to lead Tallahassee Community College (19-7) past Gloucester County (N.J.) College, 12-7, on Saturday afternoon in game one of a four-game series at Eagle Field.

Gloucester County, the 2008 NJCAA Division III runners-up, is ranked No. 3 in the NJCAA's preseason poll.

Three of Smierciak's four hits were doubles while Troelstrup had two doubles as part of his three-hit evening.

Shawn Pleffner picked up the win on the mound for TCC.

The Eagles have now won ten in a row heading into game two agianst the Roadrunners on Sunday at 2 p.m.
