Tuscaloosa, AL – The #6 Shelton State Lady Buccaneers wrapped up their pre-conference schedule with a convincing 88-42 victory over Faulkner State Community College, thus remaining one of only two (#1 Hutchinson Community College) undefeated teams left in the NJCAA.  It is the first time the Lady Bucs have made it through to this point without a loss. 

Four players scored in double figures for Shelton State (17-0), led by Brianna Lancaster’s 14 points.  Porshia Blue had 13 points along with 7 rebounds, Kendara Watts added 12 points, and Juliser Harper chipped in 11 points and 9 assists.

For Faulkner State (4-8), the leading scorer was Shuntavia Harris with 9 points. 

The Lady Buccaneers lead the nation in points (87.4), field goals made (34.9), assists (22.7), and steals (22.9) per game. 

Shelton State will now turn its attention to the Alabama Community College Conference North League play starting Monday, January 14, at home against Southern Union.  They will follow that up with a huge showdown January 17 at home against #24 Gadsden State Community College.
