COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Maisy Munson (Colby CC, Kan.), Daniela Pena (Coffeyville CC, Kan.) and Tiffani Karbo (Ridgewater College, Minn.) have been named NJCAA Volleyball Players of the Week for matches Sept. 24-30.

In Division I it was Munson who was targeted as Player of the Week. Pena took the honor in DII, while the DIII award was given to Karbo.
 

DIVISION I PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Maisy Munson – Colby Community College, Kan.
Setter – Anthem, Ariz. – Boulder Creek High School

Behind four double-doubles last week from Munson, the Trojans notched two key victories. In a sweep of Odessa College (Texas), Munson enjoyed her best match of the week with seven kills to go along with 40 assists and 17 digs. The sophomore averaged 10.46 assists and 3.92 digs in the 13 sets in which she played. Wednesday, Munson and the Trojans host Hutchinson CC (Kan.) before entertaining Seward County CC (Kan.) Saturday.
 

DIVISION II PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Daniela Pena – Coffeyville Community College, Kan.
Outside Hitter – Barquismeto, Venezuela

Spurring the Red Ravens on to a 4-1 record last week, Pena racked up three double-doubles. The sophomore averaged 4.50 kills in 18 sets last week, compiling a .444 hitting percentage. Pena’s top effort came in a four-set win over Northeastern Oklahoma A&M where she finished with 21 kills, 10 digs and four blocks. Up next for Coffeyville and Pena is a battle Wednesday with visiting Independence CC (Kan.).

DIVISION III PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Tiffani Karbo – Ridgewater College, Minn.
Setter – Balaton, Minn. – Tracy-Milroy-Balaton High School

Directing the top-ranked Warriors to a 4-1 record last week, Karbo was able to put her teammates in position to score. Karbo averaged 9.46 assists per set last week. The freshman also showcased her defensive ability with 1.46 digs per set. In their only match of the week, Karbo and the No. 1 Warriors will welcome in St. Cloud TCC (Minn.) Wednesday.
