STATESMEN APPROACHING NATIONAL RANKING POLLS
December 4, 2013

Petersburg, VA, December 4, 2013- The Richard Bland College Statesmen will carry their undefeated record (7-0) into tonight's game versus Pitt Community College from Greenville, NC. The Bulldogs are 3-2 and have had back-to-back 20-plus win seasons.

The Statesmen look to continue their run into this weekend's games to remain perfect at 10-0. Tonight's game will be a good match-up for the Statesmen as they look to receive quality minutes from their bench. The Statesmen roster will be tested as all of the players seem to be prepared for their opportunity to contribute to the team's early season success.

Richard Bland has celebrated equal success in the former years in the NJCAA, capturing the Region X Division II title in 1989 & 1990. In the first season returning, the Statesmen have their eyes set on adding to the trophy case. The fact that the Statesmen are in the conversation among the nation's top teams, prove to be a great start.
