SOPHOMORE PAIR EARN WJCAC ALL-CONFERENCE HONORS
May 27, 2014

A pair of Frank Phillips College Women's Basketball Players garnered Western Junior College Athletic Conference honors with Cheyenne Swoopes earning 2014 WJCAC All-Conference First Team and Honesty Sullivan was named All-Conference Honorable Mention.

Swoopes, a sophomore point guard from Odessa, led the nation in assists with 226 total, averaging 7.5 assists per game. She also averaged 13.7 points per game for the Lady Plainsmen in helping guide FPC to a 19-win season.

Sullivan led FPC in scoring for the second year in a row, scoring 455 points this season averaging 15.2 points per game and 7.1 rebounds per game. The sophomore guard/forward from Canyon led the team in shooting 73.5 percent from the free throw line, 44.2 percent in total field goal percentage, and connected on 33.3 percent of her 3-point shots. 



FALL 2013 WJCAC COMMISSIONER'S HONOR ROLL
May 27, 2014

All eight members of the Frank Phillips College Women's Basketball Team had higher than a 3.0 GPA for the fall 2013 semester landing them on the Western Junior College Athletic Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.

Sophomore Brennan Lytle of Dimmitt and freshman Aliyah Richard each had a perfect 4.0 GPA. Also named to the honor roll and their respective GPA's were: Taya Novokreshchenova, 3.83; Joslyn Smith, 3.65; Honesty Sullivan, 3.59; Mesha Wade, 3.41; Shawanika Harvey, 3.12; and Cheyenne Swoopes, 3.06.



FPC Women's Basketball named 2011-2012 NJCAA All-Academic Team
August 16, 2012

The Frank Phillips College Lady Plainsmen was named a 2011-12 National Junior College Athletic Association Women’s Basketball All-Academic Team with a 3.01 team GPA. The Lady Plainsmen were ranked 38th in the nation among NJCAA Division One schools.

This was the second straight season the FPC Women’s Basketball team has received this honor, finishing 24th in the nation for the 2010-11 season with a 3.07 team GPA. In addition, Lydia Lizzett Palmer of Lubbock garnered 2010-11 NJCAA Academic All-American honors with a 3.62 GPA earning the Exemplary Academic Achievement Award.
