Sussex County CC Raises Funds for Fellow Region 19 College Ocean County

The Skylanders of Sussex County Community College (N.J.) showed their support for fellow Region 19 counterpart Ocean County College (N.J.) with a presentation of a check for monies raised at a previous home game this past Thursday, January 3, 2012.  Many of the students and student-athletes who attend Ocean CC experienced major effects from Super Storm Sandy including loss of their homes and personal possessions.  Restore the Shore T-Shirts wear given to both teams from Ocean, as well as both Sussex teams, to wear prior the game.

Sussex charged a $3 entrance fee, with games normally being free of charge, on December 13 for a home game against Bergen County College.  Separate donations were also encouraged, and the total amount was presented to Ocean CC, in check form, to the women's basketball coach.
